The New Year is quickly approaching and our family it looking ahead to what this 2018 will hold for us. There is guaranteed to be highs and lows, laughs and tears, and I’m looking forward to all the experiences this year brings.
I know our family will be busy and there never seems like enough time, but this is what makes life interesting. I know the thing to do this time of year is to make resolutions for what you want to accomplish in the coming year, but I don’t want to make something that will be forgotten in a few weeks. I want to change my resolutions to goals.
I think it is important to set goals. Goals lead us to where we want to go. I have several goals that I would like to work towards. Of course one is to continue working towards me Masters in Library Science, but I have others.
So here is a list of goals for 2018:
- Continue writing. I have several projects including books I would like to finish and publish. But there’s more.
- I want to spend more time with my family. With a new niece expected in May, our family continues to grow and I want to spend time with everyone so I don’t miss out on anything.
- Read more books. I miss the simple pleasure of sitting down and just reading a good book. Stories are a way to escape and enjoy someone else’s life. I want to read and be part of as many of those lives as possible.
- Choose happiness. It simple and yet give so much direction to my life.
I hope everyone takes the time to set goals of their own. Feel free to share so of yours below.
Happy New Year!
